Akademiraadets Udvalg for Kirkekunst har foreslået mig til konkurrencen om opgaven at udsmykke Sinding Kirke ved Herning og i samarbejde med menighedsrådet er jeg valgt til opgaven.
Den smukke kirke, Sinding Kirke går tilbage til 1200-tallet, hvorfra kor og skib er bevaret – harmoniske rum, med mange kvaliteter.
Kunsten kan være med til at skabe et sted, som afgiver resonans af skønhed, historie eller poesi. Jeg ønsker at sætte et nænsomt, kunstnerisk aftryk i kirken.

Artistic Decoration of Sinding Church
The Danish Academy Council's Committee for commisions in churches has nominated me for the competition to decorate Sinding Church near Herning. The beautiful Sinding Church dates back to the 13th century, with the choir and nave preserved from that time. It is a harmonious space with many qualities.
With my artistic renewal of the church, I aim to evoke curiosity. Art can contribute to create a place that resonates with beauty, history or poetry. I wish to define the church space as a contemplative room that one steps into. I intend to subtly and gently introduce colors into the church, so that a sense of wonder arises, and the overall harmony of the expression can be experienced as stimulating. I will approach this task as an installation, a visual materiality, a light, a place.
